Microsoft Data Integration Consultant
Job description
You will be part of UK based team which is responsible for the implementation and delivery of a costing and profitability project for a customer. In close collaboration with the modeling consultants you will work on source data analysis and then typical ETL process for sourcing and loading of data into the profit model. You will become the recognised expert for all technical matters relating to loading the model. Data is hosted in a SQL Server database, so you may also be required to provide guidance and perform optimisation of the SQL Server database environment. Models have the potential for involving large data volumes so these represent an excellent opportunity to really test your SQL Server skills, as such, you will probably already possess some SQL Server certifications. Some foreign travel may be necessary.

Profile:
- Relevant IT honours degree at 2:1 or above
- Microsoft certification in SQL Server and related would be highly advantageous
- You have at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of 2 or more of SQL, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS required
- Any exposure or knowledge of ICT systems, especially ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Infor, JD Edwards etc)
- Experience of enterprise application integration (EAI), ETL or other data integration projects e.g. master data management, would be helpful
- Fluent English
- You are a team player, you have an analytical intellect and a customer-oriented mentality
- You have the necessary competences to carry out your tasks in an independent and autonomous way
- Experienced in working with corporate IT groups and knowledge of the rigours under which they operate
- You can cope with conflicting priorities and you have the necessary communication skills
- Willing to travel frequently
- You should possess enthusiasm, positivity, perseverance, creativity and good work ethics
